impaction question

can I take for granted that if my dragon poops in the bath that he is not impacted?
He seems to only go once a week and only in the bath.
He will just sit in the bath for 10 to 15 minutes paddling like a mad man. This is when he has a BM.
And most times it seems to shoot out of him and his butt takes a few seconds to close.
It looks like a red thing pushing out then it recedes back into his vent.
I was not sure if he is stuck and has a hard time or it is normal.

Doesn't sound like he's impacted, but it does sound like he's nearly prolapsing. Try getting more moisture into him and see if it helps.

what is prolapsing?
He/she seems to be in semi brumation,
He goes into his cave and and lays in there for a 2 or 3 days at a time and only pops out to eat a few crickets or worms and will go back in the cave.
He normally walks around and looks at us or teases the dogs. Later he has become very anti social.
