Idea for helping boost humidity in dubia colony

Now that it is summer and we are running our a/c constantly I found my dubia colonies way too dry. Its hot and humid outside 90º, but I'm afraid of ants and other predators so I don't want to put my bins out there. I got a couple of wash cloths and soaked them with water and laid them on top of the screens. I find myself rewetting them three times per day! It seems to be helping a lot, my roaches are all on top again and it stays dark inside all day so they are active and eating 24 hours. Anyone who wants to boost their humidity in their bins could do this.

It is naturally really dry here in Labrador where I live and I am using the water crystals and I place a bottle of water in on the hot and it seems to be good humidity.

I don't have dubias I have turks but just like the dubia they need some humidity too. I usually just put in a larger container of water crystal when I need to up the humidity.
Maybe block off a few of the ventilation holes?

Your best bet would be to cover up some of the ventilation holes, or screen... You may also have some luck with using a very small UTH off to a corner with some water crystals, or wet towel or whatever it is you use to hydrate them right on top of the UTH.

what is UTH??? i have Dubia and although it's HUMID here in Louisiana and the roaches are in my garage where it stays warm i want to make sure they have enough humidity cause they aren't producing fast enough for Hue! LOL

UTH is a Under Tank heater but you can also get a small human heating pad which will work just as good might be a little bigger but def cheaper

Oh ok! i have that under my bin already. I guess i'm just impatient cause Hue is eating all my nymphs faster then the mamma's can pop em' out and they grow! LOL
