Don't want to hijack the thread, but I'll put this out there. The bulb is fairly new, it's the Exo-Terra Solar Glo. It's burned through it's wear-in time by now. I also have a light in his tank just for extra light cause it's a 4x2x2.

But anyways, the weather hasn't been so good, and he can't see a window. I try to take him out as often as possible, if not just to show him that there's sun out, but that seems to stress him out and then he goes and hides again

Hello,

Yeah, we don't want to hijack the OP's thread.
The Solar Glo should be adequate, but, the weather does play a huge role in their activity level, I totally agree with that.
I would go ahead & change the Solar Glo though, as that can also affect his behavior too, as his body may not be synthesizing adequate amounts of D3 which could be one cause of lethargic behavior.
It is a decent MVB, but not as strong as the T-rex or the Megaray MVB's but it should be changed out after 8 or so months.

I live in Canada aswel and both my beardies are getting really lazy right now, thats so weird. They are eating fine and pooping fine but extremely lazy and sleepy right now. Guess its just Canada's beardies. LOL

Hello,

Well, just keep an eye on her. I hope she comes out of that, because she really does need to have an active period during the year. When was she most active last year?

thanks tracie it is nice to confide in someone (who actually knows there stuff) ever since i got her she has been very active and hungry lol.and i have had her since last november, she grew 11 inches, i know they grow fast, but thats pretty good i think. i can tell she's not stressed and is in lala land , she seems to be having good dreams... so my first question was, is it ok to handle her? specificaly at night, i want her to sleep on me for a few hours like we have always done. or should i just leave her alone?

Just a thought... I made the mistake of thinking my beardie was brumating a bit late. A bit too late. I got the results from the fecal today, and he is absolutely loaded with coccida and pinworms. Poor guy. :( It's worth a check. Lethargy and refusal to feed, signs of brumation, are also symptoms of parasites. Better to catch it early, too, so it's easier to treat. Don't make my mistake.

Hello,

That is a good point that coccidia could be a culprit. That is why I always review husbandry when they act off because you never know. I would really watch her though because this really is just not the normal time for brumation. It is coming on summertime so she should be zapping out of her laziness.
Did you get a fecal done recently?
It is fine to get her out to sleep on you, no problem at all. It really doesn't phase them much. Is she wrapped in a blanket too?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
