I think my 1 year old beardie is dieing and don't know why

Bowser is only 1 year old and is acting stangely for almost 4 days he keeps getting worse. He is not active and is a little pale. His beard is completely black. I have him in a bath right now he did drink a little. But still will not eat lettuse or crickets. he has almost 1 dozen crickets in his cage but won't eat. If you have advise please help.

not sure about what could be making him sick but id start by getting the crickets out of there....a while back mine was acting weird, not eating, and was low on energy and the crickets seemed to stress him out....they will crawl on him and pick at him....i got the crix out and just hand fed him a few at a time and it seemed to help out some

is the temperature in the cage above/around 90 degrees or more? If it's too cold, i've seen those symptoms occur.

Hello,

Could you run over your tank setup with us such as your UVB lighting, etc so we could make sure your tank is setup properly?
Will he take oral fluids from you? He is in major distress if his beard has been black for several days so we need to figure out what is going on.
Leaving crickets in with him constantly will stress him out & bite him as well. Please take them out if he is not eating them. Is he interested in food at all?
Do you have a vet who could see him?

I am so sad reading this. Please answer Tracie's questions when u can so we can try to help possibly identify the issue. I agree that if his beard has been black for 4 days straight, something is not right.

Lettuce is not very nutritional for them He should be offered mustard greens, dandelion greens, turnip greens, collard greens, acron squash &/or butternut squash every day. Beautiful Dragons.com has a great list of good & bad nutrition if u would like to check it out.

I took the crickets out cleaned the cage and offered him food like cricket on tweesers but he didn't care. offered him romaine lettuce didn't even notice it and the only reptile vet around here is on vacation. I bathed him in lukewarm water 3 times now. Put a nice clean waterboul in his cage. Have him pedialite. And alot of love. But Bowser is just still completly lifeless and will not move anything besides his eyes. I wonder if he caught my stomach virus I had but I dont know. This is the worst I have ever seen him. His beard is still completely black and I am doing whatever I can To help Him! I am Freaking Out and just hopeing he will get better soon

How old is your dragon?
How long have you had your dragon?
How long is your dragon?
What is the sex of your dragon?
What size enclosure do you have your dragon in?
What type substrate do you have on the bottom of your tank?
Do you use UVB lights?
If so, Is it a coil, compact, fluorescent tube, or Mercury Vapor bulb?
What is the brand name and number of your bulb? Wattage (if MVB)?
How old is your UVB bulb?
How close can your dragon get to the UVB?
Do you use a separate basking bulb? What kind and what is the wattage?
What are the basking temps?
What is the cool side temp?
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun?
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps?
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad?
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific.
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)?
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc?
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them?
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)?
Do you bath your dragon? How often?
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath?
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon?
Have you gotten a vet check and fecal done?

Oh, I'm so sorry that you lost him. That hurts very badly. You didn't have him housed with any other beardies, did you?

If you could answer those questions when you get a chance it really would help a lot so we can make sure everything is ok. We want to help get them healthy.

NO I did not have him with anyone but himself I had a basking lamp and uvb like a catolg paper on the floor he was doing great until 3 days ago and before he died it seemed as tho he was doing better but obvisously he wasn't. I loved him so much and won't ever be the same. It makes me blame myself becuase it was so sudden. I am going to bury him whenever my dad will care enoulgh to come do it with me becuase i dont wanna do it myself
