I read through this thread and noticed lighting is a huge factor in behavior. I posted this question on the lighting forum, but I haven't had a response and was hoping maybe another post on a different message board would help. I have a 6 week old male beardie. He is in a 20l for now, 18 inch Reptisun 10.0 under the screen, 35w flood light for basking, 60w regular bulb for additional lighting, 103-110 heat side, 79-85 cool side. The temps fluctuate, I am trying to figure out how to maintain them a bit better... it's kind of a work in progress. I honestly don't know the humidity, I ordered a hygrometer but delivery has been delayed. The pet store here is terrible, I have ordered everything online. Today Atticus didn't eat very well, maybe 6 crickets all day. He has been alternating keeping at least one eye closed, although this evening he has kept his left eye closed more which is closer to the
UVB bulb. I thought the basking rock was too close to the lamp so I lowered it to give more distance. Could there be something else going on? Or he just wasn't hungry today? I ordered some dubia roaches Friday. It seems like the crickets hide and he has trouble finding them, so I am checking out the roaches to see if he likes them more. I hope I gave enough information. Any help is greatly appreciated. oh, we live in Alabama (hot and humid) so I took him outside this afternoon for a
bath in natural sunlight. Could going outside have affected him?
