if you want to go with MVB i recommend this: http://www.reptileuv.com/megaray-products.php. Pick the wattage based on your tank size.

these bulbs last longer, and Mr Dargon did not run and hide from it like he did with the other MVB we tried.

if you want a good tube light i suggest the Arcadia: http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/arcadia.html. it puts out 12% UVB compared to the 10% for the reptisun. (you want the desert light)

I've been using Power Suns for a long time, the distance you're reporting & getting the right temps is fine and you can go as close as 12". There are alot of other MBV, Mega Rays are one of the best, too. I've been using Power Suns for 5 years and have only had a bad batch once, my petshop give me a discount & they took them all back & gave me a credit. So I'm very pleased with what I've been using. I was using the 160W but found, for my adults, that it was too hot, so switched to the 100W, but for you it looks like you're getting your temps just right. I always used the calcium with VitD3, even though it's not necessary, but it never gave any issues for my 5 dragons.
