I hurt star rubbing shed off :( help

Star is shedding again poor girl. So she got a nice long soak this afternoon. Later as I was playing with her I picked off a chunk of shed from her side spikes. She had been scrathching like mad in the tub so I knew she was miserable. Well I gues it wasn't quite ready to come off. Now it looks like it's bleeding a liitle bit on the spikes them self. It's only like 4 spikes Or so. I feel so bad. What should I do? Should I put some anti biotic stuff on it? Thanks

Sorry to hear that! Don't be too hard on yourself.. you meant well.
Yes, you can put an antibiotic cream on the area. Just make sure to keep the spikes that were affected clean. You could even do a Betadine/water solution and soak Star in it. Put enough Betadine in the water so that it resembles that of weak tea. After she soaks in it, pat dry the area and add the antibiotic cream.
