Pythagarous is an almost 4 month old bearded dragon who we picked up at Petland almost two months ago. Yes I know, I've since learned. But I was lucky.
He is wonderful and cuddly and healthy but since he eats a lot of silkworms and bathes every day, he makes very wet poops. I have been reading the posts about potty training very jealously, but I was lost every time someone suggests "get your beardie to poop in the bath." How?!
My guy had no interest in pooping in his nightly bath.
This weekend, In order to let my Dragon stretch his legs a little, I set up a small obstacle course in our bathtub with towels to climb and such and I let the water dribble from the faucet thinking if Pythagarous might come and get a drink. Then I let him go and play . He ran over to the gently running water and pooped. A few hours later I put it back in his obstacle course and he did it again.
Today he did it again.
My beardie won't poop in the bath, but he will poop in a very gentle shower.
Now if he figures out he can wait for me to get home we will be set!
