YES! YES! YES!
Finally after a year and a half of looking I found a local store that sells the fluorescent bulbs for a decent price. I paid 39.99 for a 36" bulb yesterday. I was thrilled until I got it home and found out it was a T12 bulb.
I had called the store a couple times in the morning and specifically asked if it was a T8 or T12 bulb. They informed me a T8 so that's the fixture I bought at Home Depot. I looked and looked at all the different fixtures in 2 seperate stores and found a single fixture for the 36" bulb. I then went and bought the bulb and when I went to put the bulb in the fixture it wouldn't fit.
Now, my problem is that I didn't see any single fixtures to house only 1 bulb that was 36" long. They have plenty that hold 2 bulbs at a time but not a single. I'm taking the T8 fixture back tomorrow but I am curious as to if I can put only one bulb in the double fixture and would it light up properly? Would it be better if I bought a normal househole fluorescent and put it in the second spot or would that compromise my UVB?
I'm only using the ReptiSun for the hatchlings that are due soon as my adults are all housed on MegaRay bulbs.
