I rearranged his cage today. Looks a bit bare compared to what it was before, but now he has UVB inside his cage and an area where he gets UVB at the same time he basks.

I also ordered the probiotic today. Bought 15 crickets just now, giving them dandelion and cucumber for tomorrow. Mother said she may order the 400pack of phoenix worms next week. :)

Wahooo! Glad to hear that :D Amazing, we're happy when our pets go poo  lol
Glad he finally did though! You set up looks good, but how did you keep the bridge on the glass? I've got a bridge like that, and it was forever loosing suction and falling off, and I gave up. Maybe I just got one with faulty suction cups....

And the pheonix worms are small... I totally forgot about that. It's been a while since I've ordered them for Taz.. he didn't really like them. I hope everything starts to go better now that he's finally gone poo!

I honestly hate that bridge to death, one of the suction cups is faulty, so I just tried to put it on an angle where the one cup holds it and the other end depends on the rock structure to hold it up. Hopefully when I get some money and time, I'll either buy a plastic structure at Petsmart or make my own out of foam, because I'm actually not really liking the look of this. It is practical though, he likes sitting on that rock so he gets his UVB, then moves over to the basking spot while his tail stilll gets UVB.

I've also come to realize that he's EXTREMELY picky. Gave him dandelion greens for 2 days, now he won't eat them. Today he's been eating the butternut squash. I thought I wasn't a slave... but here I am, serving Your Majesty with a wide variety of fresh foods.

I still have a little more than half a bottle of Panacur left over from the first time, it's been in my room since September, do you think it'd be okay to use if I had to use it again? It would be nice to save some money.

You might be able to make a similar basking area out of a box or something, or use a box or something on the suction cup side to hold it up just in case. And Panacure is the same think I was just given for Taz, and I'm wondering the same about how long it 'keeps'. He gave me a whole bottle, but I'm only supposed to give him half a cc twice, and that's it.

Your baby's poo sounds like my baby's last poo - and he hadn't gone in a long time. I had had emergency surgery and was in the hospital etc and lost track of when last poos were for both of my kids. In hind sight he was probably constipated/blocked whatever you want to call it. There was odd coloring like you mentioned and a very hard piece. I bought a mini calendar to record their poos and weekly weights on so I can keep better track. My one baby is trained to go in the bath but not the other. When I'm proactive and paying attention - if I notice that my one guy hasn't gone I start to give him apple juice with a dropper every day until he goes - he loves it though so it's easy to get him to drink it from the dropper. The apple juice helps - just like it does us too! He likes it warmed a little warmer then room temp. Spoiled Dragon!

Good Luck!!

I think with just one beardie, it's a lot easier to keep track of when he goes and what it's like and how much. And, of course, I immediatly worry if he's skipped more then a day.

Yeah its been two days since his last doozy and he eats well, ate all the crickets that I got him over a period of 3 days. I'm thinking its the parasites. I should be getting the probiotic in a few days. Hopefully improvement shall follow after a week of the probiotic. If not, I'll have to ask my parents for permission to get another fecal test done. It sucks being a dependent teen. I'm job hunting all over the place and nothings come up yet! :banghead:

lol understand about the dependent teen thing. I was when I had Olive, and it was super frustrating. Your parents seem to be pretty supportive though. I don't think my mom could understand what the big deal was about a lizard.
Do you ever give him baths? I don't know how much this would help, but it might. (Sorry if you mentioned elsewhere in the thread that you did... I just thought of it and the Topic Review box wouldn't let me go that far back to find out... lol)
The better hydrated he is, maybe the easier and more often he'd go.

My parents are 'semi' supportive. Some things theyre okay with, like ordering worms and probiotics, some things they dont think are necessary, like the 8 dollars fixture from walmart. Not sure why, probaby their way of saying whats more "useful" or not.
Yeah I give him weekly baths, and I gave him baths daily last week before he did his business. Frustrated D:<

Yeah, I understand. :(
THere's always the good 'ole money making strategy. "Mom, can I wash your car for 5 bucks?" :p
Seriously though, that might be an option. The fixture is WELL worth it, I just did that about a week ago. You need two small command strip hooks to go with it though, cause the fixtures only come with screws, and last I heard it's still not a good idea to try to screw something into glass
I don't give Taz a bath every day, but probably about three times a week. Whenever he decides to paint his cage by walking through his poo and dragging it all over. :? I'm pretty sure he does that on purpose. :silent:

Oof... he went to the bathroom again just now. It wasn't very nice, pretty sure that the majority of it was his crickets. His probiotic is arriving today, so we'll be starting that hopefully tonight. He's running around like a madman again, rubbing his face and body all over everything...possible shed coming up?

If anyone's wondering why I'm commenting on a weekday in the middle of the day, it's because I've been home since Monday because I got 4 wisdom teeth removed. :(

Bit of an update:
Grisha's been on the probiotic for two days, and wow, I'm pretty sure it's working! His appetite has gone crazy, he attacked his dandelion today with no hesitation. He's also been running around like crazy. He did poo today, it seemed to be more formed than usual, but still smelled godawful and was green. Too many greens? He seems to be gaining weight now, or just not losing any weight. Good sign! His stress marks are gone, and he's overall lighter colored. I'm so happy. :D

I'm so glad you see improvement! That's so great. I also swear by the probiotics - I've given it to a few of our dragons and they all perked up or had better poo afterwards.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
