I cannot sex my dragon

I've tried just looking at his bumps and i tried the flashlight trick. Although the flashlight didn't make it clear like in some of the pictures. I am thinking it's a girl but i really can't tell. I would post a picture but it takes two hands just to hold him and lift his tail up. Any tips please? When i can take a picture i will post it.

Hi there....how old and what size is your dragon ? The flashlight is not too accurate for babies up to young juvies. If you can let her sit flat on a table [ or the floor of her enclosure ] and you arch her tail up pretty high try to snap a few pics that way. I can probably tell you what you have.

He is about a year old and about 10 inches. I will get pics in a moment.

O.K., lets add another degree of difficulty, LOL [ upside down ] Just kidding....looks like a female, and if you measure her I think she's quite a bit bigger than 10". Unless you meant snout to vent [ the base of the tail ]

That's O.K, it's no problem. The size of a year old can vary, average would be 15-20" but can be a bit smaller or in some cases even larger. Yours looks about 14-16" if I were to guess. Let me know what you find when you measure her.

yes you are right, she is about 14 inches from snout to tip of tail.

Ha this is gunna sound stupid, especially now that she is a girl. But it is Spyro. I'm debating on changing it because it sounds like a boys name. But i also wanna keep it because that IS her name you know? :lol:

I agree, because she should have the name I originally wanted for her. And Diablo is a great name! I love it!
