Well it seemed to take about 3-4 months for them to reach maturity...and supposedly around a month after maturity they should see some nymphs...how big are newborn babies?

I think it is closer to 4-5 months from hatching til they reach maturity. Not 100% as I have never seperated them out when freshly hatched and raised them that way yet. After they mature, it will be about 1-2months afterwards before they actually begin producing nymphs, so you are looking at 5-6months (maybe 7) before you will see your first nymphs. Temps are really important as it will affect their rates a lot, so you could start with higher temps, somewhere around 100-105degrees until you start getting a good reduction and then lower them back down to the low-mid 90s

Because i have had them for a few months and have not noticed any new offspring....about 90% of them are adults now, and have been for a month or so, and they are just making me spend a fortune on crickets...temp at the top of cage is about 80, the bottom is heated so about 90 there, they have a protein cat food and oats and organic cherrios cereak mix, as well as cricket quencher. humidity is never below 75%...what am i doing wrong??? by the way, i havent had one death other than what i fed to my beardy...so they arent dying off, they just arent doing the deed...should i play some barry?

LMAO!!!!!

A little 'barry' never hurt anyone did it? 8)

Seriuosly..is there an all in one thread or a sticky about dubia care? I think I suck at taking care of them..and I don;t know where to start reading

So what if you have a lazy dragon who doesn't chew thoroughly? Xena chews all her food well, live & plant, but Crash is a lazy butt and doesn't always chew his food up... worried me when he chomped a medium-sized dubia, just one quick chew, then swallowed. I'm scared to death he'll choke on a larger one.

Of course, Xena could be our cleanup crew -- she bites the heads off her supers and then cleans up the 1/2 worms later. EW.

Sooo I want to get roaches, but I don't want to start a colony...YET. The wife isn't too fond of the idea of roaches, and stripes isn't eating much live food... I figured I'd start off with some roaches to see how stripes likes them, and if she eats, then I'll look into starting a colony. I was curious what the care of a small colony would consist of... Heat, light, cleaning/smells, roach food, etc. How long do they live and how many or how quickly will a beardie eat for example 25 roaches?

Any help is good. Feeding is stressful lately(For me, at least) as stripes isn't eating much.

If your not breeding heat isnt needed, 70F is livable for roaches. Food, water is about all you need, my adult male will go through about 25 adults a week or so.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
