*** I am concerned - acting odd

Hey everyone.
I haven't been on here in a while, but I need some advice.

When I went to go wake up Blaze today she wasnt responsive. She was hanging off her basking area with her mouth open and her eyes slit (glaring). I touched her and nothing normally she reacts to my touch. So I go and attempt to pick her up and then she like gasps for air her eyes go wide open and she tries to climb up. She then continues to hiss or gasp for air...Her stomach looks a bit swollen or enlarged.

Blaze hasn't eaten in probably 1 month because she is attempting to go into brumation. She has been in and out of it since the mid December and ate last around beginning December. She gets a bath once a week and has a bowel movement everytime. The last two times has just been urate because she hasnt eaten. She has been basking on and off. Her temps are always between 95-103F in her basking area and 80F on her cool side. At night her temps are 75-80F. I always offer her fresh salad and her lights are reptisun 10 tube and a flood light for her basking. I also have a ceramic heater to keep up the heat during the night because im in northern canada and its cold. She gets dubia when she is eatng and butter worms. I dust all the feeders. I found no lumps in her tummy.

She went to the Vet for a check up in the summer blood work and all (except fecal because they couldnt get one and i forgot to grab one) she was given a good bill of health except a little overweight which is due to the butters i think.

The first thing that comes to mind is a respiratory infection. If she doesn't look better in a day or so, she may need to see a vet. There can be a problem with aspirating water in a sleepy dragon. That can cause what's called aspiration pneumonia. Hopefully it's not, but if it is it will need treatment.

I am taking her to the vet right now - she 10 years old. She has gotten worse in the last hour. Going down hill very quickly.

Oh, wow, I hope she pulls through ! She is an older dragon, but if she's been healthy, she may be able to bounce back with proper treatment. My heart goes out to you both ! Keep her warm on the way, as well as at the vet's office.

Blaze passed away before I got her to the vet. She is about 9-10 yrs old. the vet said she probably had a heart attack... So Sudden she was fine yesterday alert as they are in brumation so sad.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your dear Blaze ! All my heartfelt sympathy to you from a fellow dragon lover. You tried to help as quickly as you could, it seems that she went very fast. I'm so sorry, I know you are heartbroken.
