Hey, how do you lower humidity in an enclosure? I have the temperature perfect, but the humidity is like over 70, and I even changed the sand with dry sand, but its still high, are there any secret ways to lower humidity or anything?

Well first what is the source of the humidity? Do you have a water bowl? Because I do but it doesn't go over 55%. If you do, put less water. Do you have live plants? Mist the dragon often?
Let us know the source and we'll help you out :D

I have no water dish, I dont have any live plants, I just usually wash the fresh vegetables before giving them to him and it seems to be enough liquid for him. There is nothing else inside that could create humidity....

Hm.. what are you checking the humidity with? I know some of the dial ones can be off or inconsistent. I doubt the humidity would be that high with no source of water other than the veggies.

Where do you live? It may just be humid in your area. In this case, you will need to get a dehumidifyer for your room.... a little machine that takes humidity out of the air.

ok I think the humidity dial was off, I tried one from my cigar humidor and it seems to about about 40 or 50 which seems more resonable... what kind of humidity device would you recommend (to a poor college student)

You could get an Acurite digital thermometer with wire and probe end, which has the humidity reading on it. I don't know what you are measuring your temps with, but this particular thermometer is very accurate and is used by many, including myself, on this forum. The Acurite will give you the temp on your basking side, cool side and humidity level all at the same time.
You can get the Acurite Thermometer at Walmart for $12. It is in the section where they have the home thermometers(not in the pet section).

I too have an AcuRite thermometer, and I love it! It is accurate (thus, the name) and pretty durable. I originally got one for Budo, but I loved it so much I got another for Cu. I love them!!

I should warn you though; I am on my 3rd one for Cu because her feeder rats chewed through the other ones' wires. If you ever use one for a snake or you feed your beardie mice, take out the thermometer. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
