When I measure basking temps I read somewhere that you put the probe somewhere so its touching the wood/basking spot. Is this correct? Or do I just stick the probe around where the basking spot is? :?
You put the probe where ever you want to know the temp...if you want to know what it is at the basking site, you put it there. If you want to know what it is in the corner on the cool side, you put it there.
