This might seem silly to you experienced Dubia owners, but how do you get the roaches out of the bin to feed your beardie? We're just starting to feed them to our beardie and yesterday, while trying to get a roach off my hand (they have got a grip!) he escaped! Fortunately, as he scurried away, he fell off the table and landed on his back and stayed there for an easy catch.
Does it really have to be a two handed job? I don't have the hand-eye coordination to use tongs. I'm trying to get specific sizes so I don't think a paper towel tube will work. Our beardie is just over 14" long and I saw that someone else was feeding adult roaches to a beardie that size, so maybe I shouldn't worry about size? I apparently need a wider mouth container than the oatmeal box I used for crickets without incident. Any tips you can pass along? Do I just need practice?
Thanks in advance.
