My daughters beardie, Kiyo is 1 month old yesterday . I have been reading almost non stop :study: since about 3 weeks before she came home and most talk of young beardies eating 30+ crickets at a sitting sometimes. I am wondering at what age? Kiyo is 14cm/6.5" long and active and is now up to eating about 10 a day.
I tried her with a few of the really small crickets but she barely even looks at them, will eat them if they walk right up to her mouth but won't hunt them. I tried a few of the larger ones and she goes crazy for those ones. Chases them all over or just drops from her elevated perch onto them as soon as I put them in!
When everyone says no bigger then the space between their eyes is that carved in stone? These are probably about 15-20% bigger then that.
On a happy note Kiyo has developed quite a taste for Kale, I tear it into tiny pieces and she has a few pieces each of the last 3 days. How much should I allow her to eat of the greens? I know she requires a lot of protein and don't want to spoil her appetite.
