How much humidity is too much?

I'm looking at making a 5' x 3' x 2' vivarium for my beardie. I know keeping a shallow water dish for them to dip in as they please is good but I was considering creating a "babbling brook" for him in the viv. Basically I'm looking a t a large water dish and adding an air stone to the water so it ripples and he can see the water. I'm hoping this will entice him to drink. Now I know the extra water means extra humidity, so how much is too much? is the 30% - 40% range ideal?.

It's going to be crossfire style build and I'm thinking because of the extra size, more water should be OK.

Any ideas, thoughts, or general response would be appreciated.

I use air stones too and it works out really well. I have mine on a timer so it's only one when the lights are on. It stimulates their senses so they do use the dish more often this way. The movement really attracts them. Our humidity in our 4x2x2 enclosure is only about 25-30% when it's on. Just don't let the humidity get over about 40% and you should be good. Also leave ample room for them to get away from the water dish.

Thanks Lenewen, I think he'll have plenty of room to get away from it lol. I'm getting really excited about my new build.

The air stones were an idea we had for our water dragon and I admit to being surprised our beardeds like them. They clog up fast if you don't keep the water really clean. It's my only complaint with them. We get new ones every couple months when the old ones break.

I love building enclosures too, it is exciting! We are working on breeding racks currently, hopefully they come out good!

Thanks for the heads up on the stones. Ya it really is fun to build these. I think I found myself another hobby :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
