We are, we've had the little fella two weeks tomorrow and he most certainly seems happy most of the time (still adjusting)

As for Kari he's 7 in August and I've not really had many problems provided I have a very good filter, lighting and heat. The lighting is much the same as your beardie, just due to the swimming they don't necessarily need a 10 but can have a 5 as they like to come and say hello and swim to the top to be closer and such. He does need cleaning out a minimum of once every three to six weeks (the six weeks is stretching it really). They are dirty but half of it is the heat. The smell is easily sorted now they have king british water freshner. I've never thought boy you smell (or at least not that often) but it does its job. Much like beardies I'd imagine the more they have become widespread pets the more there is available for them. Once you get used to it and him/her they are really simple and wonderful pets to have I'm so glad I got him. I've been a bit spoilt I think with him actually as his food a year costs me roughly £15-£20.

When they are young it could be double but I buy a big massive pot from King British that has a good mix of pellets and dried shrimp (which he adores) for £12 lasting quite some time, currently about a year, when young a little less. The rest goes towards the odd bit of round lettuce (never iceberg) and frozen bloodworms for treats. Bloodworms are adored by the young turtles and lettuce more by older ones. The even eat a few crickets we have recently discovered.

Hey TurtleG1rl, welcome to the forums!

Was pretty much just grey skies here, maybe a little drizzle.

Gave me time though to setup Linden's lunch box (insulated the cupboard with the roach colony and setup thermostats etc)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
