How many members in the Uk? And where?

Hi! I am new to Bearded Dragons, having just rescued two here in sunny Skegness. I've had them for 3 weeks. They are both females, in separate vivariums. One is a hypo-bearded dragon, approx, 2 1/2 years old, I 've called her "Wilma", the other is a leatherback, approx 3 years old and is called "Freeda". Wilma eats anything given to her, whereas, Freeda will only eat waxworms and mealworms, I just can't seem to get her interested in crckets and locusts. The viv, when rescued was in a bit of a state, sand stuck together with poo and urine and infested with the beetles from the mealworms, which I personally think may have something to do with her appetite. I have read on various sites that they can be fed with such things as shredded cooked chicken, beef, etc. As anyone got any experience of feeding bearded dragons anything else apart from live crickets, locusts, etc. Thanks.

i just discovered these calci worms (phoenix worms in the US), from what i've read they are much better for beardies than any other worms.. my beardie seems to like them. i believe chicken and beef are bad.. think i read it elsewhere on this site.

how long have you had your dragons? they may need some time to settle in and then locusts may become more interesting to them.

You could try chicken or squash/both baby food, its god for beardies that dont eat, mines not eating so im having to give him some.

I joined last night though I've been a lurker for a while. I'm from Scotland but I live in Liverpool now.

My first and only beardie is a female normal going to be two sometime around the first of april. I've had her since she was a baby and only found out that she was a girl just after she turned one. She's been in the same viv since I got her and I reckon I'll probably need to upgrade it at some point if I can find a decent replacement.

Yeah, that's her in my avatar. I reckon she was about eight months old there. That cricket stayed on her head for a good few hours before it crawled away.
