how long you keep your dragon awake for?

so i know the UVB has to be 12 hours a day, but how long do you keep your dragon(s) awake for? just a question, and wasn't sure if there is a correct 'time' as to which i should keep my bulbs times set to. i tend to keep it in relation with outside, so i sort of switch it around whenever we go through seasons, etc.

Normally I turn Nemesis' lights on around 10:15 and she goes to sleep anywhere between 10 and midnight.

Iccarus wakes up anywhere from 8-9am, when my daughter wakes up and goes to bed at 9pm when my daughter goes to bed. She likes turning his lights on, and off. That's one of her "chores", and she enjoys doing it.

But 12 hours then 12 hours of sleep

for me lights on at 8:15 and lights out at 9:15. i usually check on him at around 9:30 and hes sometimes still awake or just getting comfortable

they go on around 915am. and i usually wake up around 11, so i wake up to him staring at me from his basking area lol, make him his salad, feed him lunch around 1230-1, dinners around 6-7 and lights off at 10pm.

Mainly a cycle of 12 on and 12 off and could use a heat emitter to help sleeping in the cold months. Thats my plan just need another fixture.

You can do 12-14 hrs on and 10-12 hrs off. Some reverse it in the winter time and do 10-12 hrs on and 12-14 hrs off.
My youngest beardie is already snuggled in before lights ever go off, while my oldest beardie is a bit of a party animal and is still wide awake even after lights off.

Thanks for this helpful info i didnt know that. But thats cool you can lower the hours during winter but my concern is that for less then a year old dragons by then ain't babys no more. Right before the lights go off my dragons like running around getting greens everywhere but then go right into a deep sleep. I like how they sleep laying against glass very uncomfortable and lay under paper towel like a blanket kinda neat. Thanks again dawn your advice always keeps me learning about my little pals. I dont know there sex so i say pals or kiddos lol

I set my timer 7am to 9pm in the summer and 8-8 in the winter. Chester is usually up at 7, goes to bed between 6 and 9 depending on the day.

I have my lights come on at 4am, and go off at 7pm, I have to get up early for work, but he gets fed at 5:30am, and he takes a nap during the day, gets fed at 5:00pm, with worms all day, then I get him out about 6:30pm, and he plays for a while and falls asleep on my hand at about 7 pm, does good he gets about a 2-4 hour nap during the day.

I turn my lamp on around 5:15am and off around 5:30 pm. He is a little groggy, but he's pretty awake once I leave for work around 5:30am. When I turn the lights off at 5:30pm he stays awake for maybe another 2-3 hrs. So if he's really active and alert, I keep it until until he's tired. He's kinda on the same schedule as me :/ But he seems to be ok with it. He's been sleeping in the same spot every night, so when he goes over there, I know it's time to turn the light off. 7:30 am to 8 pm. She's usually asleep by 7 though, 6 if I let her run around a lot in the house that day and she wears herself out.
