How long with out a UV bulb??

I ordered new lights Tue. and they wont be here till like next Thurs. Princess had another 2 months with her light but it blew Wed. So now what? Will she be ok? I can take the light from Chaos and try to divide there light to like 6 hrs a day each but I didn't want to do that unless it was a must because of all the eating problems I have had with Chaos. It is to cold here to even think about taking her outside. I think are high is like 45 today.

I'm in the same boat as you. Zeus's MVB blew last Friday and the new bulbs I ordered won't arrive till Tues or Wed. I've been trying to keep him near a window for as long as I feel comfortable a few times this week. With the window closed he was able to soak in a bit of sun without getting too cold. He seems to be holding up well so far and his appetite has not changed yet. I'm pretty sure 7-10 days without it won't cause too much harm. I wouldn't risk any more than that though,

In terms of the window. UVB does not travel through glass/windows. Unless he is getting it through a screen (no glass) in which case is better than nothing, but it will be filtered out a lot.

Ahh I was under the impression that UV traveled through glass. I thought some just got filtered out as in the case of the screen.

She is still eating good and has not changed one bit so I'm glad I hope the light will be here today or tomorrow. The last place fedex said it was is only about 3 hrs from here and that was yesterday so I hope it comes.

The only change I did notice now that I think about it is that I turn her lights on about 10am and she does not get out of her bed (wrapped in her blankets) until about 1 or so. Normally she gets up about 30 min or so after I turn everything on. Wonder if she is getting ready for winter??
