How do you know what fixture holds what size of bulb

I'm talking about a tube bulb I'm gettin a repti-sun 10.0 18 inch bulb and looking on petmountain.com and they don't really say what size bulb they hold any help?Nvm found a flukers light fixture that said it holds a 18inch bulb, but is there any cheaper out there?

Im looking myself. I have heard it may be cheaper to buy a fixture at hardware store. Which is true... kinda. I have found one that I can use for a 24 inch. Which the bulb calls for a T8. This worked fine for me. Now im having lots of trouble searching for a 36 inch single light T12. You have to look at what it says concerning T8 and T12.
