My older beardie is named 129 after the tail end of Highway 129 in East Tennessee called "the dragon." I figured, name the highway after a dragon, name the dragon after the highway. When I was teaching 1st grade, the kids couldn't remember which number she was named after. 42! 18! 867-5309! They nicknamed her "Dragon" and it stuck. My second baby, Tripod, was missing a foot. My third baby is Cap'n. I mean, what else would you name a peg-legged (missing a back foot) black-bearded (always hormonal!) little man? What can I say... I was on a pirate kick
Other critters.... Dog named Harley (he came with his name). My cat's name is Jackson Ellis.... he was Jax as a kitten named after my hubby's cat as a child... but it was changed to Jackson once "she" grew little things girls don't have. The Ellis part was an abbreviation of LS... little... shi....stinker
I had a ball python named Ichabod, but I called her Icky. I have a tarantula named Nuffins (imagine someone asking what's in the terrarium when you know good and well they are scared of spiders. Like a little kid caught doing something naughty, I answer, 'nuffins.). I have had rats named Boubonic and Nicodemus (from Mrs. Frisbee and the Rats of NIMH) but called them Nick and Bobby. I had three guinea pigs named Curley, Larry, and Moe and a ferret named Weasel.I also had a beta fish named Max (Betamax? Get it?) and one named Fido (went to the pet store wanting a dog... left with a fish named after a dog).
No Fluffys or Rexes for me!!
