How Can I Handle My Dragon?

I've read many different places and been told by many people you don't want the temperature to go above 110 so maybe it's to hot, to reduce temps you could get a light stand to raise the light higher.also don't know where your from but have you looked on craigslist for an aquarium I got a killer deal on my 40 gallon. I also taped white paper to the sides of my aquarium leaving only front open, the window surfing decreased greatly my male was really about it once I taped the sides he chilled or quite a bit

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that your dragon WILL come around and allow you to handle him/her.

I too got a baby dragon, and was unable and also afraid to handle him. I know what you mean about having a glass tank, with top access only...it does make it more difficult. I was fortunate enough to get hold of a small reptile enclosure with front access, and have made the most of it for the last couple months. He's now a little attention sponge! I really thought I had the one dragon that would never let me handle him, and I'm so glad to be proven wrong.

It's not impossible with a top-loading tank, it just might take more time since they kinda freak out when anything comes from above. At this point, my Rex doesn't even react when my hand is above him, and I pick him up any way I can get hold of him. I've switched him to a big, long glass tank, so now it's back to getting him from above. It takes patience...I nearly gave up SO many times, however now I've got an actual pet!
