Hornworm BARF?

So I am new to hornworms - I picked up the fattest one earlier today and I swear it barfed on me - did it? :study:

and dang they really do bite - I think he might be ready to pupate he's so big

was it a liquid that came out? i think if you squeeze them too hard the produce a liquid.

and yeah they bite. i can hear them chewing on the mesh inside the cup, and they always attack the tweezers.

one thing i've learned is that when i order them (even 1 cup) i need to order extra food! they always finish off the food before i can feed them all to my beardies, then i have to throw a bunch of veggies in with them and hope they eat those instead of each other!

Mr Dargon will only eat 1 big one, Tasty Treat will eat until she explodes :/

as for pupating, they can't unless the bury themselves.

yea it was liquid - definitely out of the mouth end not the rear end!

my PICKY eater (Bert) will eat them until he explodes too- ugh - of course he has expensive taste!!! He's trying to eat me out of house and home!!

I'm only on my like 3rd cup - I haven't had a running out of food problem!! I wish they were easy to breed because I'd save a ton of money!

Horns are mean! And they do squirt liquid at you if you squeeze them too hard or if you rip them off of the mesh to roughly. Just the other day I went to grab one out of the cup and it latched on to the tweezers!! Crazy little buggers!
