Superworms are used by some here (Australia as a staple feeder for adult beardies) , IMO this is risky, I offer superworms as part of the diet but not everyday (maybe 2 - 3 supers 3 times a week with buk choi greens and crickets).
Tobacco hornworms are not available commercially here in Australia.

and they say their lizards love them.
If you want an ideal worm to use as staple I highly recommend silkworms , they are just about a perfect feeder insect. And most lizards go crazy for them. If you are north of the equator, they should be in season now as lavae , they are dead easy to care for , if you have access to a mulberry tree that's not sprayed , this is idea, apparently the leafs are a good green too, otherwise they can be fed silkworm chow (comes as a powder that you mix with boiling water and then nuke before using).
Silkworms will last 2 months while lavae and need feedings daily.
For small hatchlings I use small silkworms (1 inch long worms and their moths), for juveniles medium silkworms (1 - 2 inches long) and adult beardies will happily eat 2 to 4 large (3 inch) silkworms in a sitting).
