Hi Me and Dune are new buds.

Hi,
I'm new to the lizard community! I just recently got my new friend Dune. I'm still not sure on the sex of my new baby, but hope to find out as he/she gets bigger. But for now I call him...well a him, just cause it's easier than saying he/she every time. lol. I'm really happy that I got help from the health forum not 2 seconds ago. I have to go buy a new light, I messed up big and got a repti glo 10.0 light and hope to resolve my mistake today. Thanks again to zebraflavencs for the help!
I hope to talk to more people on these forums, they are so fun and helpful!

If anyone has advice on finding out what sex he is, let me know!

HI !
He is most likely a bit young, but by the time he is 3-4 months old you can sex him/her by lifting his tail ( okay I have decided he is a he for now) towards his back, until you feel a slight resistance. Looking at just above his anus, you will either see two distinct bulges (male) or one (female).
You can also post photos of said area, and the "experts" will chime in their opinions

Oh, so to tell you a little about what I learned of my new little buddy!
I found he likes to sit on my shoulder even though I try really hard to keep him where I can see him.
He likes it out side, and he watches EVERYTHING! He likes to watch planes fly over our house, it just fascinates him. As soon as he hears one his head is straight up looking for it. (not sure if its cuz he likes them, or if its cuz they scare him)
He likes to run around ALOT! So much so that he becomes hard to keep up with. I only let him run around on my bed but still he manages to be fast as lightning!
He's very well behaved. When I let my friends hold him for a bit he stays right in there hands. He only seems to try to run up me and my girlfriends arms and I think it's cuz he's used to us.
I don't have alot of pics of him yet, but hopefully I'll get some more on here soon!

Oh, and by the way. For the record, my money is that he's actually a she! Thats just my guess! Let me know when you find out!

Cute little pooper you have there!! I have to agree with how Janie said to see if you have a male or a female!! Although sometimes it is hard to tell what sex you have until 2 or 3 months!! Good luck in finding out!!! Hope this helps.........
