Hey Everyone,
Even though I have had my 2 beardies for about a year, I'm new to the Website. I have found this to be a great site for little questions no one could seem to answer. Just from the discussion boards I have learned so much. Thank you all for your insight.
Introducing Nacho & his sister Lupe.
Nacho is a very social male who has made friends with our hyper terrier. He and his sister Lupe are enjoying moving into their new 55-gallon tank with their own indoor swimming pool!
Lupe was a very aggressive little beardie when we got her. She tried to attack everything that went near her (Thank goodness she was only a tiny thing at the time). Now, she has mellowed out and is becoming much more social. She lives up to her nick-name 'Crazy Lupe' for she always seems to find the coldest parts of the tank, and sleeps in the most unusual positions, (hanging off a branch by 2 legs) and cannot stand to be separated from her brother.
Since there is such a size difference between Nacho & Lupe, we tried to separate them into 2 different tanks. Both beardies stopped eating and would not eat for 3 days. Not even their favorite, crickets. So we tried to put them both together in a much larger tank and they both immediately started to lick each other and went right to the food. I understand that I will need to separate them sooner or later, but for now, they are happy together.
Well this is a brief intro to the crazy lives of Nacho & Lupe.
