Hello,I recently got my son a Bearded Dragon and he has gone away for the week,I didn't realise the crickets would bite him.
It looks like one has had a little nip at his back...he looks fine and is alert and has just eaten a couple of them, will this bite be irritating him and should i have him checked out?
Also he doesn't seem to eat his greens really or any bit of veg i put in.
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Just wanted to say for the bite on your beardies back, put a dot of polysporin cream on it daily and see how that goes. You can even give him a betadine bath, just put enough in the water to turn it into a weak tea colour and soak him for 10 min. But I've found the polysporin cream really works. And yes, you have to take all crickets out once your beardie has finished his meal, as they do bite and the bite can get infected. Or you can feed him in a different tank, that's what alot of people do, then just leave the crickets in the feeding tank with some greens & then feed the rest of them the next day. It can be difficult to get the little boogers out of the tank after every feeding.

As for greens, the previous person got it right, you just keep offering daily greens until he'll one day show an interest. Just don't obsess about it, some beardies take to greens, others don't. You can feed the crickets the greens, as well as cricket food (for protein) and water crystals (my pet shop carries orange water crystals that have calcium in them, so that's what I use). Good luck!

Try putting a tube, like from paper towels or part of an egg carton in the area where the crickets are ant they usually go into them to hide. My Roxi always left two crickets that had to be caught before bedtime, maybe they were for a late night snack.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
