Oops, I not only forgot to update my thread this weekend, but I also forgot my cord for downloading my pictures to my computer. Bad Me!

I has been over a week now with giving #4 a bath every day, except on Saturday (there is an interesting story there). With handling every day, fresh food and a warm bath, you would think my dragons lived in a 5 star resort. If only I got treatment like that! I guess I should move away from using #4 on the forums since I decided on a name, but I figured I could play a little guessing game with people that checked out my thread!

Today’s hint: #4 is named after a main character's nickname in a move released in the 80's.

As the days go on, I’ll start adding more specific hints to help everyone out! I'm just nice like that.

So some fun stories before I do some pictures:

I have been giving #4 a bath every day except last Saturday because the timing just didn’t work out when I was out and about with some friends of mine. Thinking that #4 wouldn’t mind skipping one day, I let is slide. #4 on the other hand thought otherwise. I have this nice fleece blanket in his Viv now that is settled on the ground near his basking area. #4 has taken to using this spot whenever he isn’t basking and seems quite content to nap away the day in that particular spot. While I was off doing laundry Sunday morning, #4 decided to show me his displeasure and soiled the nice fleece blanket right when I finished the laundry for the day. :(
So for the time being, he now sits on a nice stuffed fleece pillow until I do my laundry next Sunday...

Sammy is getting pretty big as of late and smarter. When I gave him a bath on Sunday evening, he was happily enjoying the warm water and was content with sitting around for a bit, followed by some lazy one or two arm swimming and resting some more. This was a nice change of pace from Sammy scrambling to get out of the bath from the get go, so I was pleased. After 15 minute, when his bath time was up, I picked him up and placed him on the towel on my lap to dry off. Sammy took one look at me and jumped back in the bath, followed by immediately going potty, as if to say "I wasn't done yet!"
I guess he knows better than I when he is ready...

OK, last story, I promise.
#4 was exploring this evening after his bath and manage to get into a very interesting position on top of a box with some cords and other things on top. He wasn't particularly happy with being up there and didn’t manage to spot an easy way down. I ask if he wanted assistance and he stared at me for a moment. I took that as a yes and moved my hand over to him. With out hesitation, he jumped squarely in my hand and was content to stay. I was so excited!!! I guess he has finally warmed up to me, either that or he figured I was a good stepping stool.

Finally, pictures.

All clear under the couch.

Sammy was not a happy camper in the above picture. Though I'm happy to report that he made it through his shed with wonderful colors!

That’s all the pictures for now. #4 gives a big shout out to all his brothers, sisters and parents out there! :D

Hello Tristan, sorry for not popping in the past week or so...please forgive me...I have been so stressed out over hubby's health an I have been sick as a dog. Starting to feel much better now though :) especially since the "C" word wasn't topic of conversation this week at Frank's doctor appt. Wheew! I can think again! :)

I'd say that the boys are working together now and are doing a great job of training :whip: you the way they want you. :laughing6:
Remember you are the slave they are the masters...and boy they got it mastered don't they?

It's funny how they can be just like a child when it comes to baths...don't want anything to do with them at first, but once they realize that it feels good then they don't want out. :) Also I believe they quickly learn that if they poop in the water/bath then there won't be smelly nasty poop in their rooms/viv. Most my resident beardies do not or will not poop in their viv's. An I'm more than happy about that. :headbang:

Ah ha! The name game sounds interesting should be fun.

#4 is about to shed again?
I see he has learned how to spread his salad around in hopes you can not tell he ate any.
How's he doing now with the buggies?
The "Slave my pillow needs fluffing" looks like he is asking are you still mad at me. Just looks like a guilty face to me.

Poor Sammy looks miserable in the pic with all that itchy skin. You know it must feel great to get it all off and have nice fresh skin. Ahhh!!!
His colors seem to have popped with that shed too. Handsome! :love10:

I'm glad to hear things are going better for you this week!

Yeah, both of them are having a good time of whipping me into shape as far as their habits and routines go. Though I think they are having fun switching it up on me from week to week, just to keep me on my toes. Now Sammy is having no trouble with bath time, but #4 is finding out that he can jump out of the bathing tub that I use. After putting him back in three times, I usually dry him off the fourth. By that time, he usually has had close to 15 minutes of soaking and swimming.

Sammy's shed completed a few days ago and he is doing much better, and looks amazing. #4 is just about to do a body shed and isn’t to particularly happy about it, but he has kept his creamy white belly the whole time. Sammy likes to fret about everything if its not perfect. If he isn’t at the exact right basking spot, if he isn’t fed at exactly the right moment, if he doesn’t get to spend all day out of his Viv, he will show some stress marks just to make me worry. He sure knows how to crack the whip.

I do find it funny that #4 likes to spread his salad around just make me fret about him not eating enough. However on the cricket and worm front, I can say that he is on par with Sammy when he was that age and size. :blob5: :blob8:

They are both getting along nicely and I have seen #4 do quite a few double arm wave routines in front of Sammy, but Sammy doesn’t seem to particularly pay attention to it. Sammy is to busy finding the perfect spot to lounge while touching his tree and keeping perfectly warm. however this has not dissuaded #4 from more arm waving and even a 20 minute long stare contest with Sammy. I'm pretty sure that Sammy was taking a nap at the time however...

Ok, time for the hint of the day:
The movie, where #4 gets his name, stars the USS Enterprise, however it is not Star Trek.

Playing the name game here cause this baby has to have a name other than #4.... Is it from Top Gun? Maverick, Viper, Iceman ???? Too many guesses I know :( the suspense is too much ! But does look like you have two very happy guys... You are a good slave!

Wow, nice guess!

The next clue was going to be:
#4 is named after the main character's nickname in a movie where plays a hot shot with a sad past. The main character loses his confidence but his friends rally is moral and he become a tempered hot shot once more.

Your first guess was correct: Top Gun - Maverick!
Also I have been calling Maverick, Mav for short. :D

Yayyyy!!!! I love that name. That was a very cute idea! Maybe I should have kept it going longer. Love your posts, super awesome dragons. You will have to go over to the introductions and check out Tahhh Dahhhh meet Hemi....that's my baby. Keep the pics coming...they are great. I love how the tree keeps shrinking...good money doesn't buy anything good these days ;) I will be glad when the log in Hemi's cage starts shrinking.

Have an awesome day!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Maverick is a good name for #4, especially the way he's put himself in charge! I can tell you're having a great time with them both. It's great to see Maverick settling in and having fun, especially the arm waving, it's it the best? So Sammy doesn't try to wave back, guess he feels he's due and he's in charge.
Your boys are so funny!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
