I am starting a herb and salad garden to save some cash, but I have run into some snags- most, if not all of the things on the food lists (even beautifuldragons.com) are very hard to come by in South Africa. Or even more frustrating- have different names! (eg Alfalfa is called Lusern).
I have started with the following:
>>Mustard seeds- now sprouting
>>Turnips - not really sprouting - will move and try again
>>Rosemary
>>Peppermint
>>Nasturtiums
But now here's the questions- Are these ok/healthy to feed?
>>Thyme (already growing)
>>Lemon Thyme (already growing)
>>Fennel (already growing)
>>Sage (already growing)
>>Oregano
>>Rocket
>>Winter Savory
>>Feverfew
>>Lavender
>>Basil
>>Dill
>>Sorrel
>>Marjoram
Or any others that are found at: http://www.herb.co.za/herbal.htm
Any Help would be greatly appreciatted!
