He looks OK to me in that picture. It looks like he's pancaked out and enjoying a bask. His eyes look a little bulged out which is what they do when they're shedding around their face to help loosen the skin. He may flare his beard out too. If he doesn't want to be touched around his head that's another indication that he may be shedding and the area is sensitive. It's a good sign that he is propped up and active enough to shoo you away. If he was hurting he would likely be acting more lethargic/sleepy. They can puff themselves out and can also retract quite a bit so visually checking their weight can be deceptive. Using a kitchen scale to plot out his weight (in grams) every day can give you a good idea of what he's really up to. Keep in mind daily fluctuations are normal but just watch what the trend is doing as I mentioned earlier. If his UVB tube is at an appropriate distance and his basking site temperature is within the range of about 100-110 he should be a happy camper.
