This is our new baby, no name yet but hasn’t eaten but seems so underweight. You can see it’s hipbones.
It’s 7in long from head to tip of tail.
It weighs 7grams or .25 of an ounce.
Not lethargic moves a ton licks everything but won’t eat.
We do have that heat rock in there for now because t night it goes below 65 in our room and we don’t have a CHE yet.
We’ve offered greens, mango, carrots, food bites, mealworms, waxworks and tried syringe feeding but nothing.
Only one small poop hours after a warm bath. Here is my set up and pictures of it and all my stuff.
Any advice is appreciated.
Basking area is 106-99 and cool area 76.
We use the reptisun 10.0 uvb bulb tube.
And the exoterra sun glo 150w.

Hi there, if you've only had him for a few days then this is pretty common, although there are a few things you could tweak to help him out. He is a bit thin, but not really dangerously " skinny". Avoid carrots, they're hard unless you grate them and they're not necessary in a proper diet. The beardie bites are O.K but babies need a lot of insect protein. A few small mealworms are o.k, but not medium or large, and not more tan 4-5 small at a time. Mealworms can cause impaction in babies if they're too large or if the temps. aren't high enough for the baby to digest them.

Small crickets , 1/4" at his size or 1/2 inch at the largest are the best insects if you're getting them from a pet store. They can also be oredered in ulk which will save you a lot of money over time. Dubia roaches [ only small ones ] are another good choice.

It would be good to get rid of the heat rock ASAP [ they can malfunction + burn reptiles, it happened a lot in the past ] and get a CHE right away so his night temps. stay around 72 or so. It sounds like your heat + uvb are good . And just be patient, get some small crickets and he/she should be eating soon. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
