Help with building new cage

ok, so my beardie is geting much too large for his 20 gallon tank so i'm going to build a larger one...what are some good sites to help me with this? and any advice is welcome
Also, Is pine or birch alright to use and how can i seal it? polyurethane or paint?

Google for the crossfire enclosure or search this site for the link. A lot of people use that as a template.
