HELP! What's wrong with Perseus!?

He hasn't eaten at all today, he ate yesterday but his body appears to be sucken in today? He's also shedding. He pooped today but it was green and sorta loose, I gave him very little mango, collard greens and phoenix worms yesterday, which he ate and I offered him crickets today he ate one that's it.

Sorry he's not feeling well. Have you given him a bath? He looks dehydrated.

I think more information would be needed here. Has he been eating normally before today? Has he been losing weight over time? What is he eating? How often? I'm pretty new here myself but I've read offering baby chicken (baby food with nothing added) and baby squash to get him to at least eat. A warm soak? Check his temps and make sure you have all the right lighting? Like I said, I'm new to this too. I hope someone with more experience can help you out. I know nothing about his poop being green. I'd personally try the bath and baby food, check temps and take him to a vet? I'm so sorry

Thanks for the helpful replies he was actually eating very well everyday since i had him. he's never denied food until today which shocked me. He was actually in a bath in the picture. Ive been bathing him everyday since hes shedding, he shed his head yesterday and his neck today. I took a short nap and woke up and offered him crickets again and he ate 40!!! I'm so happy he ate and after I put him back In his cage he ate some greens. I'm not sure what was wrong with him? I could definitely tell something was wrong with him because he was very lethargic and didn't even move in my hand before and when I picked him up after my nap he was back to his normal self wiggling in my hand! Anyone know what's going on? Could it be because he's shedding? Also does anyone know what could've caused the green poop? Should I take him to the vet?

Some beardies will eat less when they are shedding since shedding can be stressful for them.

He looks a little underweight to me though. Has he been loosing weight? If he is eating plenty but loosing weight then it could be parasites and should be taken to the vet ASAP.

Hello,

If his stool is greenish & smelly then that is a possible indicator of worms/parasite issues. I would take him in to get a fecal test to see what could be going on.
He should not lose that much weight over that short of period of time, as he is very thin.
Do you have a nearby vet?
Even if he is doing better, I would still get a fecal done just to be sure. He could have eaten some bad greens maybe, if he got sick, etc from his last meal.

Thank you so much! I don't have a vet for him but I brought my dog in to get his yearly done last Friday and his vet told me she would see my beardie if anything were to ever go wrong. She is actually very helpful and printed out an article from another doctor for me that has great info on beardies. I will call her at 8am sharp. I can't even sleep worried about my little guy I hope he's ok!!

Also is it not ok to leave greens in his tank? I'm a nurse and I usually work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week and I give him greens and feed him worms or crickets in the morning then again at night, which is when I take his greens out. I would feel terrible if this is the reason why he's sick

gosh, not me! I'm shocked by the difference in appearance in such a short time. Wouldn't think it even possible! Hope you get some answers, and when you do, let us know! He looks good today!
I leave greens in "all day" - my day is not a 12 hour + commute time day - however, I don't see why that would be a huge issue. They're probably all dried out and he's not eating them anyway after a certain amount of time... With your long days, I would think it's better to have them in there, than not.

Yes I was very shocked also, hes been very active today climbing the background on his viv. in the front by the glass looking out at me, doing a little dance, now hes in his hideout peeping out lol. I've read everything I could find online and I even purchased a book from amazon kindle store last night trying to find answers. As soon as he poops the vet said I could bring it in. Hopefully his poop will shed some light on whats going on, if not the soonest they can see him is fri at 2:30. I'm just being hopeful about the situation.

Sometimes when they are standing up on all fours, they let their belly sag and they look a lot skinnier. When he flatten out, he is much wider. That is totally normal. He may be a bit skinny and dehydrated, but most likely his lack of appetite is just shed, and he is a bit skinny from that.
