HELP- URGENT! Dragon Never Poops or Eats Prey!

Hi everyone. I have a 13 month old male fancy beardie named Sephyra (thought he was a girl when I got him). He got diagnosed with coccydia months ago, and was on an antibiotic for it. I had brought him to the vet because he hadn't pooped in 12 days, had barely eaten, and was lethargic. Ever since he got better, he has went from a daily pooper that ate crickets for prey to a week-2 week pooper who will now only eat waxworms! He gets fresh dark greens and other veggies daily, has repticarpet for substrate, has the best UV light across his 40 gallon tank, the correct heat lamps, basking spot 100-108, cool side 84-86.
This time, it's been 13 days since he's pooped. Acting like himself mostly. I give him warm mists constantly, warm baths, prunes with a couple drops of mineral oil, take him out to run, take him outside, and even have force fed him water. He is now refusing to eat crickets, superworms, and now even mealworms! I don't have access to any other insects, so now he will only eat waxworms.
What do I do? This is my first reptile, and I'm so worried he is going to die. Any help is appreciated!

Hi there...was he eating well before going on the meds ? Sometimes that throws everything out of whack. Do you have a length + weight on him ? If not, can you post a picture of him from the top view ? If he will eat it, try some canned pumpkin mixed with baby food squash and/or applesauce. Try a bit of scrambled egg [ microwaved about 60 seconds, no oil ] The next bath you give him, make the water a bit higher + warmer so he has to swim a little. Sometimes a combination of things will work. If you can get some probiotics it should hep regain his appetite. Benebac or Acidophiliz + are good. His appetite should return, I'd cut out the waxworms + wait until he's hungry for the other staples....and don't worry, he won't die from not pooing for 2 weeks. Adult dragons can be funny....but he should bounce back.

He was eating ok before the meds, but he had already started turning down crickets. A few months prior to the diagnosis, he had twice thrown up whole undigested crickets- nothing else, just mucous. He also has pieces of mealworms in his poop when he does go. I wonder if it's a digestion problem, the coccydia, or willfully holding it? Like he associates that prey with tummy pain. He's very smart, and we communicate well.
He is around 18 inches long, and I don't know about his weight. He is not fat, but looks a little lean when he doesn't eat.
I don't know how to add a pic on here.
I have already given him the baby food prune/mineral oil mix, and a very warm bath. I massaged his belly, and could feel a very large 2-3 inch hard cylinder by his slit. I tried to massage it downward gently. So far, still no poop:(

Hi, I agree with AHBD with the feeding of the pumpkin, squash or very warm applesauce, they all work well with getting themselves cleaned out.

Would also be a good idea to pick up either the Benebac gel (for reptiles & birds) or Acidophiliz to help restore the good gut flora that the antibiotic killed off. My beardies have always loved the Benebac & would willingly lick it off their noses.

I would stay away from mealworms entirely because they have a hard chitin shell which is an impaction risk. Since he likes the waxworms, bet he would like silkworms or horn worms too & those are very good for them.

It sounds like your temps may be off preventing proper digestion & causing him to get blocked up. What type of thermometer are you using, digital strip, round gauge (dial), temperature gun or digital with a probe? Where exactly are you getting the 100 to 108 readings? What is the actual basking SURFACE temp? When in his tank, where does he spend most of his time?

If you could post some pictures of him, it would be helpful.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
