A little over a month ago, I lost Noelle, my male bearded dragon (I originally thought he was female). He was 3.5 years old, over two feet long with tan and white stripes, and was i great shape/health. On February 6, I heard a banging on the glass of Noelle's home. Noelle was convulsing/seizuring. I immediately pulled Noelle out of the cage before he hurt himself, and digested a lot of sand. Noelle became very lethargic, his breathing was abnormal (chain breathing), and he was cold. I rushed him to Cornell, where they incubated him. Noelle died four hours later, early Saturday morning. Cornell did a necropsy on Noelle to find what was the cause of his death.
The report listed the cause as: Atypical mycobacteriosis, and blood in his abdomen from the liver
I need to what this is and what signs to look for in a bearded dragon who has this disease. The necropsy report is in medical terms, and hard to understand. I need answers to help my only dragon. My baby girl, Al. She has shown no signs of illness (eating, moving, pooping).
PLEASE HELP ME!
