Help I need ideas

Ok I need help! Forgive my grammar ahead of time I'm on my phone. We r traveling to the beach in august and space is limited. I was looking for some sort of collapsable enclosure for the dragons. I have seen dog rates and stuff like that that come in collapsable material. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of making one but I know it would be as expensive probably as buying one!!! Anyone use anything or has built anything hey recommend? I thought about a playpen but it's still awful bulky o travel with we are going with family.

When we travel, we just use a rubbermaid 30 gal tub. We toss the clip lamp, bowls, etc in the bin on while on the road. We usually can store other items we are carrying along inside as well. We use a carrier for the dragon. Then we set up the bin at the hotel or destination. If it's only for a week or so, we don't bring the UVB since the dragon is outside with us most of the time. If it is longer than that, I bring a little strip lamp also.

There are some PVC style cages that may work if you must have a collapsable enclosure but they are all screen so may not hold heat well.

We have two totes we use when we have more room ad they seem to do well!!! We have only taken them for a few days so far! Usually we forgo the UVB for our travels because we take them outside for their uv light! I actually ended up making a PVC type screen car or them and will divide it in half for each one. I used screen and Velcro and hot glue, its not pretty but it will work, I made it tall and will hang the lights from the top and will test out the temps a few weeks before hand to see if I need to make a cover for it! We are staying in a condo/townhouse and know the owners so they don't care! The cage itself is collapsed and apart and we will carry them in little pet purses and since we are traveling at night it won't disrupt their heat schedule (and it's easier with kids at night lol). My biggest hang up will be taking te feeders lol!!! We just don't have the room since we are carpooling with family for the totes. There are going to be 9 of us in two cars and the luggage so....

Honestly, we stay at pretty cheap hotels so no one has ever noticed my dragons. :roll: Of course, we keep it low key. People usually won't question a rubbermaid tub but a flashy carrier they will.

The dragons that I travel with are used to being in events and marketing shows for my shop so they are very used to traveling. I suggest traveling in short trips to the store or elsewhere to get the dragon used to to travel. With that being said, dragons can stress from lengthy travel and some dragons just do not travel well. I have heard that some people's dragons stop eating. So boarding your dragon or having someone babysit is an alternative.
