Hello :) New to beardies, need a secon opinion on my tank?

Hi! I just got two beardies about a week ago and finally all of the tank stuff I needed came in today. I have a 20 gallon tank, with one heat lamp of 150 watts (temp is usually at around 100-110 where it is, and I just got the Reptisun T8 10.0 Uvb light and a hood. My heat lamp, well the dome, touches it a tiny bit, is that alright? I will try to attach a picture if it lets me. I have two beardies in there for now, but I'm just waiting on my second tank to come in so that I can separate them.
Does it look like an alright set up?

I think that looks pretty good for now. Just be sure there is adequate space in the basking area for both of them to bask easily at proper temperatures. I wouldn't want to see one of them dominate and start to monopolize resources before they are separated. They are going to grow quickly so I'd start putting together a budget for dual 40g breeder tanks (or larger) along with a couple of T5 UVB lights for the larger enclosures that they'll need a few months down the road as they grow.

Oh okay, makes sense. Yeah they've been okay so far and I'm pretty sure one is female and one is male so what I'm doing for now, since they are 2-3 months old is I will have the two 20G tanks for a while until they get a bit bigger, and I already have one 40G purchased and all the equipment for it and I'll start saving for the second tank and all that stuff soon too.
T5 is better for a bigger enclosure? Also I got a Zilla dome, are those only compatible with Zilla lights? Cause I put an ExoTerra light in and it went up in smoke lol.

The T5 lights are higher output so in my opinion they are better suited for larger enclosures. The T8 bulbs put out sufficient UVB at 6-8'' or so from the bulb. A T5 puts out sunlight levels of UVB at 12-14'' so they can easily be mounted right on top of the tank and be very effective even through a screen top (the screen tops intercept 30-40% of the UVB).

As far as dome fixtures go, as long as they are rated for the wattage of the bulb (or more) then they should work with any bulb. They are essentially just ceramic bulb sockets with a metal reflector dome around them. It's possible the bulb was bad or an incompatible wattage for the fixture.
