She is beautiful, glad you were able to rescue her. I'm sure in your care she will have a long happy healthy life. I hate seeing the conditions a lot of the beardies are in when posted on craigs list. Horrible conditions. Anyway, she has beautiful colors and love her name.

It's sad. There's a few in my area that are looking pretty bad. I wish I could rescue all of them. She stole my Reptile heart!

Thank you:) I named her after Neptune's wife in Roman Mythology. She was being called "Tyson", even though the previous owners (Can I call them that?) knew she was a female. I like my name better:p

I just gave her her first bath. She seemed to enjoy it. I would pour a little bit of warm water down her head and down her back, and she closed her eyes and I SWEAR I saw a smile:D
Sorry but that is so funny, I knew the name was taken from Neptunes wife. We have a border collie named Neptune <thats why its funny>. Hubby is retired Navy and wanted to name him something to do with the sea.

I'm glad at least one person got the reference!:)

I will keep you all up to date on her progress. Everyday, she seems to be getting a little bit better and a little bit happier. She, for the first time since I've had her, actually had a solid release, none of that runny crap that littered her tank before I got her. That seems like a good sign!

She sure does look like she's smiling! Her color is coming out and it's making me so happy to see the changes. It's amazing what good food, some UVB, and some lovin' can do!

I know :) I'm so happy! Her colors improve everyday. I took her outside with my today for about an hour. She LOVED exploring the grass and getting some real sun. I think I'll make a habit of taking her out!

 Hello its nice to meet you. I am soooo happy Tyson has you. You are her angel :notworthy: . She is beautiful. That is an awesome name. I am glad you are on this site. I have been on this since I got Ziggy (may 2012) and i was a very new mom and new nothing about my beardie but i knew i loved him.
I joined this site and there are sooo many intelagent (cant spell) and educated people on here they have helped me so much with what i needed to do. The pet store (pet land which clerks can only tell people what they are taught) said all the stuff in the viv start kit that all came together was all I needed and all was ok for Zig. Well I learned fast from this site it wasn't the best for him, like they said sand was ok well I learned it isn't.
I also learned alot about the site of nutrition where some things are bad for him. When I go to the grocery store I bring the list with me and go from there It is sooo funny at the check out people look at me wierd and I tell them I have a beardie and they say Oh, (I wanna tell them but don't) now do you think I eat mustard and dandilion greens :laughhard:
I'm happy she is doing so good I can't wait to see more pics as she get's better. You are a great person.
People should think and research more before they get one and maybe there wouldnt be so many abused.
I wish they had better law's that would arrest people due to abuse and not just fine them. I makes me mad :angry5: :angry5: when I see it on T.V.
Well sorry I just ran on with this. I am glad you joined and I look forward to reading more. :blob5: :blob8: :blob5:

Suzan,

Thank you:) It's no problem, I like reading long posts!:D Her name is actually Salacia, after the Roman Goddess of the Sea, and Neptune's Husband. Tyson was what the previous owners called her.

I know:D I'm loving everyone on this site. I researched Beardies for months. As soon as I was ready to buy one, she popped up on Craigslist and it was a match made in Heaven! I'm really happy that my first Beardie is a rescue Beardie, and I'm providing a better life for her. :)

Here she is basking. She looked really cool, so I snapped a picture! :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
