Hi all,

Just wanted to make an account and introduce myself and my dragon. This is my first dragon, although I am no stranger to reptiles (had lizards and a few snakes over the past few years). I have been wanting one for a while and finally decided to get one before I talked myself out of it again. I am already happy that I did. Right now he is still really small, just got him from the pet store and since the man couldn't really speak english to well, I am not sure of its sex or how old exactly it is, but by it's size, it cant be too old. Currently, he is in a 10 gal tank, which I know is going to be too small, but I am working on getting a larger (30 or 40 gal) by next week, just need to find a place I can place it without giving up the spot my tv sits. I am still working on finding a set of fruits / vegetables that he will eat as he has only nibbled on the green stuff once or twice (but loves his crickets).

Here is a picture of Bahamut

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was able to get a larger tank (40 gal) and it seems like he is a lot more active. Only problem now is that the same size bulb is having issues trying to keep the tank warm. Guess I'll upgrade my lighting tomorrow when I return the old 10 gal tank.

Is it common for young dragons to not eat vegetables? I am still having issues with getting him to eat it. I put it in water first and he would lick the water off, then ignore the vegetables lol.

I'll try to get some better pictures up tomorrow after I get the tank setup the right way and this time try to get a decent picture that can actually show the orange starting to appear on his back.

Well, I finally got around to getting some of the pictures that I promised. To say the least, I got a little carried away with the camera so this is a little picture heavy.

Hope you enjoy!

Awe such a tiny little dragon.
Yes, it can be hard to get them to eat their veggies when young. They seem to like their protein/bugs better. Just keep offering them.

He/She is adorable..... instead of fruits and veggies at this age protein comes first, needs all the crickets he can eat in a 15 min span. but make sure they're not any larger than the space between your dragons eyes.... remember protein, protein, protein! ( twice a day ) btw he's precious!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
