Hi everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself...my name is Kelli. I should be getting my baby beardie some time next week, and I was going to wait until then to introduce myself, but I'm too excited to wait! So, in the meantime I'll share the story behind it all (hope you guys don't mind).
After doing all my research on beardies, I finally decided I was going to look for a baby from a breeder. I looked for a little while and none of the babies really jumped out at me, and I knew I wanted to keep looking until I found "the one" as silly as that sounds, lol. I had been lurking on this site but never posted, so one day I was cruising through the "for sale" section and came across one of the most gorgeous juvenile dragons I had ever seen, his name is Heff (he belongs to DiAnn "irwin'smom"). I knew that I really wanted a baby, but now the baby I was looking for had to live up to the standards I set in my mind, which had to be like Heff. Shortly after I saw that DiAnn was selling Heff's younger brother advertised as "Heff's clone"...and I knew that I had to have him! Also, to add to it, he turned 5 weeks on 8-22, which would make his hatch date my parents' anniversary, and I'm sentimental, lol. Anyway, after messaging DiAnn about shipping costs and such, I decided that I was going to go ahead and get him. So I emailed her, and then a little bit later checked her website and noticed that he was "on hold" for someone else! I was sooo bummed...I'm 23 and pouted like I was 5 (if you can imagine that :mrgreen: ). BUT...the next day I got an email back saying that the person never paid, and that if I wanted him, he was mine. Needless to say, I was extremely excited...soooo, now I'm just waiting for the rest of my stuff to come, so everything can be set up before the baby arrives. I just want to make sure all his temps are right and everything. When I get him I'll definitely be posting many more pictures!
