I saw on retileuv.com a lighting option that started to make me think. It was suggested to use a 60W EB light kit along with a 40-60W regular bulb. The MVB emits enough UVB for the beardie but not necessarily enough heat. Use the MVB full strength and then setup the regular 40-60W bulb on a dimmer to have heat adjustment. This sounds like a really safe way to do things. In Manitoba we get everything from -45 to +35 degrees celcius (about -50 to +90 F) so it made me start to think. I was wondering if people make adjustments to their MVB setups for the different seasons? Yes we have heat and central air but in the summer our A/C is set at about 25C and in the winter our heat is set at about 20C. That's a 5 degree difference and we don't want to cook our beardie in the summer. So...just wondering what people do or if they even need to make adjustments for the season changes? Thanks.
