Hi,
Ace gave me a small paper bag to put them in. I carried her and the bag into Wal-Mart with me. I was shopping in one of those motorized carts. I would roll, stop, catch an egg, put it in the bag, roll, stop, catch an egg, put it in the bag....You get the idea. The lady at customer service was so excited about watching her lay the eggs. She tried using my cellphone to video tape it. The videos did not come out well. : - (
For the 1st 5 months I have had her, she has laid eggs every month. She has laid clutches of 20, 33, 36, 37, and 37. She is a re-home. I have had her less than a year.
She is a very sweet girl.
Here is the story behind how she came to me.
My Lemon Beardie, Bubba, passed away this year. He passed a week before my sweet girl came to me.
He went into severe distress, very suddenly. I tried
bathing him. He literally went berserk in the
bath-tub. That was not like him at all. It soon became clear, that the ONLY place he wanted to be, was in my hands. As sick as he was, he was focused on ME! I picked him up. A friend rushed both of us to the emergency vet in Tucson, 75 miles away, one way. As she drove, I gave Bubba mouth to mouth, and chest compressions. I desperately wanted him to live. When we arrived at the vet clinic, he was unconscious, but alive. I knew he probably was not going to make it. As he passed away, I whispered to him...."I don't want you to go, Bubba. But, if you have to go, then go. Please send me a penny from heaven, and let me know you are ok".
Bubba passed away shortly after, approximately 10 minutes later.
Two days later, on a Bearded Dragon group (
[email protected]), there was a group email, entitled, "Free to loving home in (my city's name)". I opened the email. The email said that due to their careers, they could not properly care for their Beardie anymore. They were willing to give the dragon and all accessories, including the tank, to a good home. They didn't care about money, but they did care about what home she would be in. I emailed them and said I would like to be her forever slave. They brought her to my house a week to the day that Bubba had passed away. He passed on a Friday; She came to us on a Friday.
They explained that when they first brought the Beardie home, they thought she was a he....
Guess what they had named their 'boy' dragon? You guessed it....
BUBBA!
They realized 'she' was a 'he', when she began dropping infertile eggs. lol
I re-christened her Ms. Bubba Rose. Guess what her coloration is? She is a morph. However, you can see alot of lemon coloration in her. She and Bubba would have made some beautiful babies. She turned 4 yrs. old, this month.

In 2010, my sweet, beloved, Miss Sydney, passed away from cancer.
She was 2 and a half years old. She was a white dragon. We used to go everywhere together. She and my Sir Darwin would ride on my shoulders. Her on my left one, and him on the right one. lol
As she passed away in my hands, I asked her to please send a penny from Heaven, letting me know she was ok.
The
very next day, I was in a client's yard, mowing grass with a riding lawn mower. It was at top speed, all blades were engaged, meaning the mower was EXTREMELY LOUD. As I sat there, riding around the yard, I noticed a black butterfly hovering just above my left shoulder. This butterfly stayed above my left shoulder for precisely
2 and a half hours. I took it as Miss Sydney's way of letting me know that she had made it to the Rainbow Bridge, and she would be waiting for me there. :love5:
I miss all my angels. However, Bubba and Miss Sydney were two of the greatest Beardies I have ever had the privilege of being a slave to. :love10: All of my angels, past and present, are forever in my heart. :love5:
