He pooped all over my Sofa.....

Me and my boyfriend had Brynn out on the sofa earlier, he was out for a while happy to run around us and then he decided he would do a poo :!: :!: As you all know the poo isn't the best smelling is it :?: I was nearly sick cleaning it up, I didn't wanna pick him up while he was going as I didn't wanna make him stop, if they even could lol

So yeh he was in the bad books for all of 10seconds lol, but you can't stay mad at them long can you :?: :?:

He always wants to go down on the floor when I take him out but I am always afraid he is going to dart right under the sofa, he is still quite small, only just over 3 months I think :?: :!: :?: Does anyone have any ideas what to do with him when I take him out, I have only had him about a month.

Anyone else got any lovely poop stories :?: :?: hehe

Mine pooped in my hand at a reptile show, luckily the frog guy next to me was prepared with paper towels and hand sanitizer!
and just make sure there isn't any other animals around and you'll be ok

I wait until the dragons have pooped before they come out to play. If they havn't pooped, they get a bath to stimulate it. And if they don't poop in the bath, that usually means they don't have to go. Tyson (my boyfriend's dragon) pooped on the sheets (and me) many times before we learned this...

set up a pin with no floor to put your beardie in. give them a bath and wait 'til they poop, then put them in it

My Loki likes to sit on the keyboard of my laptop and watch the screen while I type. Well, of course, he decided that he had to go so he did. I noticed it happening and immediately got him off and put him on my bed (where we were typing) while trying to tip the laptop upside down. I guess he wasn't done so finished on my sheets! He went back in his cage while I went about cleaning up his messes. He's normally very good. He even goes in the same place in his cage everyday so I was really surprised. If I wasn't afraid he would eat it I would put a litter box in there lol! :idea:

I put both of mine in warm water everyday..and without fail they will go in the water. I will then handle them without fear once they have pooped.If I do take them out to roam around before they go, I will not put them on my furniture...just on the floors.. =)

I think everyone has a good poo story, but the most disgusting are always a steaming pile on your person that soaks through the clothing. I always bring a change of clothes if I am taking Scorch out with me for the day, just in case. Although I have never needed them. Wouldn't want to get stuck out all day smelling bad. :roll:

He is normally pretty good and he always poo's in the same area (he has never pooed in the bath before, which is strange I suppose??) he normally poos in his food bowl, sometimes afer I have just fed him hehe!

Any good tips on the best way to take him out without darting under the sofa??

I got a steaming pile right in my lap once. That was less than charming.

As far as preventing Sofa darting....

I made Kenshin a little harness with a long piece of cord attached to it so that I could let him wander. If I lose sight of him I follow the cord and there he is. It's worked REALLY well. Kenshin doesn't seem to mind the harness all that much either.

Well, when I was at camp, my dad was feeding Duke and he pooped on my bed... Not that great but I wasn't too happy when I got home!

Roran poops once a day but sometimes he will pee twice a day so those are my surprises. This morning he was about to pee on me and all I had time to do was stick my hand under his vent and just take it! My brother kindly (while laughing at me) got the paper towels and sanitizer I keep handy out for me. Roran then ran up my chest and put his head right under my ear (snuggling), so I couldn't stay mad :wink:
