two years ago i bought hornworms for my bearded dragon kaisei. he loved them. he still eats his supers now but after ordering hornworms a few more times along with silkworms and butterworms he isn't as lively for going after the supers. this coming friday we plan on ordering his favorite: hornworms but i don't know if i should get that for him. he loves soft bodied bugs. i can't have roaches or crickets in my apartment.

I don't see that as a bad thing. Hornworms and silk worms are more nutritious and hydrating than supers are.
i thought so but i just worry if i can't order him more hornworms, butterworms or silkworms and he decides he never wants to eat supers again then he will become extremely picky

He'll eat when he gets hungry. Older dragons don't really need a whole lot of food, especially compared to the little guys. Adults should have a diet that consists mainly of veges. Aside from some BSFL treats, my Darwin only gets bugs every 3-4 days or so while he gets a fresh salad every day.
