Hatchlings

Our very first clutch of hatchlings has started hatching. Every day one hatches, its kinda funny, is it normal? 3 have hatched and the fourth is on the way. I've read that they take a couple days to start eating, but even the first to hatch hasn't eaten anything yet. They haven't eaten any crickets i put in there, or the collards, or even the pellets. In fact, they run from the crickets like they're scared, is that normal? is there any way to encourage them to eat? i don't want them to starve, Shouldn't the instinct be to eat the crickets and not run from them? they're the perfect size for them.
I'm super nervous this being the first clutch I've ever hatched.

Hi there....some babies will eat the second day after hatching, others take 3-5 days. It helps if you put the tiny crickets in a jar or other container with a pinch of calcium powder, shake them up just a bit until they're dizzy [ but not hard enough to kill them ] and drop them near the babies. Just do about 4-5 at a time until you see the beardies eat them, then more as they eat them. When the crix are moving slow the babies find them less scary for their first couple weeks of life.

It's also good to spritz them lightly for a drink daily, take any paper towels out and then spritz, then wipe up any excess water left over.

Yeah im using paper towel as a substrate, i did put some calcium on the crickets, you could hardly see them against the paper towel so i tried to give the crickets to them without the calcium at first until they actually started eating them.

Also, theyre alot more nervous when im around, i know you arent supposed to leave crickets in there but should i just leave them for half an hour or something? so they dont have to be nervous of me and can get used to the crickets?

My first hatch of 5 (over a course of 3 days from a clutch of 20) just ate the first time on the 9th when the first one hatched July 4th. My best way was using this clear glass dish, like a Pyrex bowl, and then putting the Dubias I was feeding in the bowl in the tank. They are getting Used to my hands since I handle them a lot and just inch finger tips near their head until thet sleep with petting now even. They waited to eat until my hand was out of tank though. As soon as it was they all five pounced on the bowl and ran circles around it trying to get to the food through the sides. I had to help and lift them into the bowl so they got the idea that they can't go through the sides, but they ate every single roach and now eat without hesitation. I had tried before then but they won't eat until they are ready from what I found.

The breeders I bought Puff and Rex , and Peppa and Toothless off, told me they simply dumped the bugs in with hatchlings and let them have at it, rarely any bugs left after each feed.

Little hatchlings are bottomless pits / eating machines so I doubt you'll have any issues of rogue bugs with so many hungry little mouths in the tank, essentially the bugs have no chance of surviving long.
