Hatching Problems - When and If to Help

So today, after waiting 3 days for one of the pipped eggs to hatch, we helped out a little and peeled some of the egg away. This dragon had made the slit and tried to get out (I recorded this) and had later on moved its head to make a new slit.

After the new slit had been made there were no further attempts to hatch.

The dragon was dead, very stiff and completely lifeless. We peeled a tiny bit more back to see what was either an over sized yolk sack or what were the dragons entrails.

Was this dragon destined to death or could we have helped sooner to ensure safety. I don't like helping as I fear it can cause more damage.

We have one other egg, which made a slit two days ago but 1) there have been no attempts to hatch and 2) the slit doesn't look successful.

Any input is valued!

Thanks

This is becoming an issue, 4 eggs now have died shortly after slicing the egg.

Never experienced this before but it feels and look as if the babies are not absorbing the yolk sac. It seems they slice, try to push their head out, then never try again. Humidity and dampness of substrate is perfectly fine, just wondering what I can do to help, if I can.

If the answer is that if it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be that's fine.
