Has anyone tried using grouted polystyrene as substrate?

Just as the title asks. I haven't made any fake rocks with the stuff so I have no experience cleaning it. If you haven't tried it as substrate does it seem like a good idea? Or is it too hard to maintain? You could make it look just like their natural habitat and add gradients as you please... I think it would be great if it isn't to hard to clean.

Lizardlandscapes does this I think in his fake rock canyon video. I think it would last awhile just as long as it has been properly sealed and the poo has not been sitting there for hours.
